Acrylic Care Instructions

✨ Caring for Your Acrylic Keepsakes

At The Moments to Love, our acrylic plaques are designed to capture meaningful words and unforgettable memories — and with the right care, they’ll stay as radiant as the love they represent.

Acrylic is a strong, long-lasting material that can keep its beauty for years to come. Here are a few simple ways to keep your keepsake shining bright:

💎 1. Remove the Protective Film

Each acrylic piece arrives with a thin protective film to keep it safe during transit.
Before displaying, gently peel away the film to reveal the crystal-clear surface and brilliant shine underneath.

🧼 2. Keep It Clean

Dust and dirt can dull your acrylic’s glow over time, so we recommend cleaning it at least once a month.
Use a soft, damp microfiber cloth to wipe the surface — never use paper towels or sponges, as they can scratch.

For tougher smudges, add a small amount of mild soap to the cloth, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber towel to prevent water spots.

🚫 Avoid: Isopropyl alcohol or harsh cleaning products — these can damage the finish.
For more stubborn marks, use only an acrylic-safe cleaning solution.

☀️ 3. Avoid Direct Sunlight

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause acrylic colors to fade over time.
To preserve the vibrancy of your plaque, display it in a space with indirect light or use curtains or shades to protect it from strong UV rays.

✨ 4. Restore the Shine

If your acrylic ever loses its luster, gently polish it with a soft cloth and an acrylic-safe polishing compound.
Use a circular motion and a light touch to bring back that beautiful, glossy finish.

📦 5. Store With Care

When not on display, store your plaque in a cool, dry place away from heavy or sharp objects.
Avoid stacking items on top of it to prevent bending or warping.
For extra protection, wrap it in acid-free tissue paper or a soft cloth to guard against scratches and dust.

With a little love and care, your acrylic keepsake will continue to shine — just like the memories it holds.
